Venue selection for your event

The location you hold your event, affects the outcome of the event and the general experience of those who come for your event.

A few things you need to check when selecting your event venue;
1. Accesibility
There is nothing like a beautiful venue that no one can get to. Make sure the venue you chose is accesible and is friendly for those driving and those who may have to use public means.
Take time to put a map to the venue from well known landmarks on the invitation cards and/or promotional material to save yourself venue confirmation calls on the Dday.

2. Availability
The availability of the venue will help you with scheduling the event.

3. Affordability
The price of the venue affects how much you will need to cough out, source from sponsors, charge at the door if it is a paying event.

4. Capacity
The aim and vision of your event tells you how many people you expect, what activities you will have and see if there is room for the same.

5. Sanitation
It is paramount to have enough bathrooms, wash taps, soap, toilet paper and continous supply of water.

6. Other services
- Parking
- Catering
- Security
and any other things you may need for your event to be successful. Having all the above from one source is better than dealing with hundreds of service providers.
